Alerts
Alerts notify you immediately when your website or services experience downtime or performance degradation—so you can act before users are impacted.
What Are Alerts?
Alerts are rule-based notifications triggered when a monitored website or service meets specific conditions, such as becoming unavailable or exceeding a latency threshold.
They can be delivered through multiple notification channels, allowing your team to stay informed in real time.
Before You Create an Alert
To create an alert, you must first configure at least one notification channel.
Please visit the Notification Channels page to add Email, Slack, Discord, Teams or Webhook integrations before proceeding.
How to Set Up Alerts
- From the left sidebar, go to Alerts.
- In the Alert Rules tab, click + Create Alert Rule.
- Select the website for which you want to create the alert.
- Choose the monitor you want to track:
- Select Main Website to monitor uptime or Core Web Vitals.
- Select a Smart Pull monitor to monitor internal services. You may optionally choose specific services within the Smart Pull payload.
- Click Next.
Alert Rule Types
You can create two types of alert rules:
- Downtime Alerts
Triggered when the selected website or service fails to respond or reports a down status.
- Latency Alerts
Triggered when the response time of the selected service exceeds the latency threshold you define.
Select the desired alert type and click Next.
